We are a diverse group of people, coming from various backgrounds, coming from all parts of the community. Our membership is at different stages of knowledge and spiritual growth. We are on a journey through an earthly life on our way to a spiritual eternity.
We are not brought together by any illusion of our perfection or righteousness. We have been brought together by our recognition that we are sinners in need of the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Preaching Minister
Matt Miller is first and foremost a bondservant of Christ whose greatest desire is to faithfully serve the Lord. Matt is a graduate of the Nashville School of Preaching. He is beginning a new work as the minister for the Alvaton Church of Christ in Alvaton, Kentucky. Matt and his wife, Erin, are blessed with their son, Isaac, their daughter-in-law, Katlyn, and their daughter, Libby. When he’s not studying or serving, you’ll likely find him enjoying a good cup of coffee, cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners, or spending time with the people he loves most.
Preaching Minister
Randy Wells currently serves as our pulpit minister. He previously ministered at Alvaton for several years and has recently returned to once again serve and lead our congregation. We’re grateful to have him back as part of the Alvaton family.
YOUTH MINISTER
Cole joined the Alvaton ministry team in 2025, bringing with him a heart for youth and a passion for ministry. Before stepping into his current role as youth minister, he served as our youth intern during the summer of 2020. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Cole studied at Lipscomb University, where he pursued his calling to ministry.

Laura and her husband, Danny, have been part of the Alvaton church family for many years, raising their family here and faithfully serving our congregation. Now enjoying the busy season of grandparenting, Laura has served as our church secretary since August 2022.
