What is Meet the Need?

Think of it like classifieds but the listings are needs of fellow Christians in our congregation.

No one does anything alone. When we help friends and family get through life’s big and small obstacles, they will do the same for us. We are a part of a community of faith; a church family.

It’s hard to know and meet everyone’s needs as a congregation grows larger. We are excited to have more people to share life with but we don’t want anyone’s needs to go unnoticed.

Meet the Need is a way for members to share and meet needs of other members.

Been under the weather and need your gutters cleaned out? Air unit acting up and you need someone to fix it? Looking for used furniture for your apartment?

Wouldn’t you rather get your air unit serviced by someone within our church body? Cleaning your gutters out is an opportunity for other Christians to serve. There’s likely plenty of used furniture not being used in the brother or sister’s house you sat next to in church on Sunday.

“For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” – Matthew 7:8

If you never ask, you’ll never receive. Your need might be someone’s open door to serve that they have been asking for.

Jesus loves us in an extraordinary, incredible way. It’s up to you to take the love you receive from him, and find ways to bring that love and goodwill into your community. When life gives you extra blessings — whether it’s food, clothing, money, or something else — the right thing to do is to share those blessings however you can. Material things come and go, but the mark you leave by helping others never goes away.  Helping others is one of the best ways you can express your faith. Let Jesus guide you and show you how you can share with others.

We can’t solve all the world’s problems, but we can be a positive force in the lives we encounter.
