SUMMARY:Give Kids the World
DESCRIPTION:A stay at the Village is much more than a vacation. During one transformative week, wish families laugh, play, and create priceless memories together away from hospital visits and medical procedures. It’s a magical week of “YES” where wish kids can experience the simple joys of childhood, and where families can recapture some of the precious moments that may have been missed due to illness.\nSince 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomed more than 177,000 families from all 50 states and 76 countries. The Village is made possible by the support of generous donors and community partners, as well as thousands of passionate volunteers – who donate their time and talent making wishes come true.\nVolunteers are the heart and soul of Give Kids The World! Each week, our passionate volunteers contribute their time and talent helping to create priceless memories for critically ill children and their families during magical weeklong wish vacations in our whimsical, storybook Village.\nServing in a variety of unique and diverse roles, volunteers enjoy a truly rewarding experience helping to deliver happiness and inspire hope for our precious families. From serving “Ice Cream For Breakfast” in Henri’s Starlite Scoops and operating our accessible rides, to assisting with wish family check-in, every task undertaken by our wonderful volunteers is impactful and meaningful – bringing us one step closer to transforming lives.\nWhether you are an individual wanting a memorable way to give back during your free time, part of a local service group, an alumni family interested in paying it forward, or an employer seeking a purposeful team-building opportunity for your co-workers, we would love to have you join our community of caring and compassionate volunteers.\n
